Am I entitled to request personal information from my former employer under the data protection act?
Q. I have recently been unfairly dismissed by my employer. Under the data protection act am I entitled to request to have all personal information about myself? and would that include alleged letters of complaint from clients, of which I am the subject? Any other information, regarding this subject, would be greatly appreciated thanks :)

A. Frankturk50 - this is the second time I've seen you post that they can only have computer records. this is not the case. Read up before giving people a bum steer! You may request all the information your empoyer has on you. However, they are entitled to keep some stuff to themselves if it is likely that they will have to defend themselves in a tribunal. You may possibly get access to these when the tribunal takes place. Also, it depends on if the letters of complaint were sent to the organisation in confidence. They may redact some information on this basis. www.ico.gov.uk and search for employment code of practice - this gives lots of information of what you can and can't have in your situation. How can an honest fellow go to law school post the Child Protection Act?
Q. With the Child Protection Act the government under Pres. Clinton voted to permit screening by the judiciary of all potential new lawyers, judges, licensed professionals and etc. This law permits a judge (especially a mob lackey) to prevent any person, no matter how wealthy, from being recognized for personal worth without any recourse save complaint to the same virtual Spanish inquisition that accused him. Ours is a country that allows any minor judge to remove a person from every ability to get funding to go back to school by merely date rape drugging (for psychological reasons I'm sure) and then alleging poor fatherhood especially if sterile ( because of the date rape drugs the "patient" lacks ability to adequately answer the allegation… [cont.]

A. Don't put yourself in those positions and there won't be anything to worry about. The date rape and drugging especially.

How to file a complaint with consumer protection cell and to claim compensation?
Q. I had sent a Speed Post Money Order from Delhi of Rs. 3000/-to my daughter in Mumbai who is a student of TISS.. Even after a month that could not be delivered. But after constant pursuation of Postal higher authorities I was paid back the ammount of Rs. 3000/-. But I was not paid my MO charges of Rs.150 + speed post charges Rs.12 and my other expences to constently contacting my daughter over mobile phone, penal intrest and charges for spending many man hours and all hastles I had faced. Kindly advise how to go about and to get compensated and what shall be the ammount that I should claim?

I fully agree with the harassment you faced during this whole episode of sending Speed Postal Money Order from Delhi & spent lot of money in getting the refund, etc. Now the position is that no doubt you can approach the Consumer forum in Delhi district from where you had sent this postal money order & claim the damages etc, but the time this complaint in this forum will take any thing from two to three years to decide in your favor. The time you will spend on each date of hearing will be another headache for you. The maximum amount you can expect in such a case will not be more then the Money Order amount which you have been already refunded, but since the harassment you have faced cannot get you more then this amount in any case.
